BIO

You may not know Erika David but that will soon change. This bold, fierce young woman is set to be one of the most notable artists in the music game. Beautiful and talented are two words synonymous with Erika David. A strong penetrating voice with solid range and versatility coupled with jazz undertones, Erika’s voice resonates. Most are amazed by the powerful and soulful voice that emerges from her petite frame.

Two years ago, Erika began posting videos on YouTube singing covers of songs by Beyoncé, Keyshia Cole, Fergie and Ne-Yo to name a few. Often remixing the popular hits by rewriting the songs, Erika continued to post her video covers of her compelling performances with her own unique style. She quickly established a legion of loyal fans worldwide. Erika’s remix versions of J. Holiday’s “Bed” and Ne–Yo’s “Do You” are some of Erika’s most popular videos with over 800,000 views.

Certainly, motivation to find success in music was there from Erika’s early days. Singing since the age of three, the Bay area native began performing in Junior and Senior Choir as well as winning countless talent shows. She later moved to Las Vegas where she continued with a track record of amazing live performances.

She’s dope, I was shocked and impressed” says Bryan Michael Cox while working with Erika after she won the Colgate Mix-Fresh competition. This past December, Erika made her presence known when she performed at New York’s Z100 Jingle Ball All Access Lounge sharing the stage with such performers as Brandy, Lady Gaga, The Veronicas and Secondhand Serenade.

Blending soul, pop, R & B and hard beats, Erika’s music often explores the various stages of relationships, drawing from her own experiences with the opposite sex. The young chanteuse confides “It is really easy to sing and write about guy, really easy!”. Her songs depict a young, confident woman who is not afraid to speak her mind. “It’s about getting what you want and making no apologies for it”. Erika’s first album is due to be released in early 2010.
